Thomas lab post-doctoral fellow, Dr. Kristen Breit, presented her poster on the “Effects of Prenatal Cannabinoid and Alcohol Exposure on Brain and Behavioral Development in Rats” at the  Cannabis and Health Symposium hosted by the Center for Medicinal Cannabis Research (CMCR) on June 8th, 2018.

The mission of the CMCR is to conduct scientific studies involving cannabis and cannabis compounds to asses their safety and efficacy in treating medical conditions. The Cannabis and Health Symposium focused on issues surrounding the science, medical application, and public policy in conducting cannabis research. Director of the University of California Irvine Pharmacology Department, Dr. Daniele Piomelle, spoke at the symposium bringing light to the importance of developing research in prenatal cannabis research; a topic the Thomas Lab will be investigating.
